This is Christmas

To tune of: Twinkle, Twinkle

What is Christmas? We'll tell you,

It's putting love in all we do,

In our work, and in our play,

In our living every day,

It is showing love for others,

Father, Mother, Sisters, Brothers.

Sing a Song of Christmas

To tune of: Sing a Song of Sixpence

Sing a song of winter,

Frost is in the air,

Sing a song of winter,

Snowflakes everywhere,

Sing a song of winter,

Hear the sleighbells chime,

Can you think of anything,

As nice as Christmas time?

I'm a Little Reindeer

To the tune of: I'm a little teapot

I’m a little reindeer, ready to fly,

I’ll pull Santa’s sleigh up in the sky,

Christmas is here,

We can’t be late,

All the children just cannot wait!

Ten Little Angels

To tune of: Ten Little Indians

1 little, 2 little, 3 little Angels

4 little, 5 little, 6 little Angels

7 little, 8 little, 9 little Angels

10 little Angels in the band.

Wasn't that a band on Christmas morning

Wasn't that a band on Christmas morning

Wasn't that a band on Christmas morning

Christmas morning coming soon.

Eight Little Reindeer

Eight little reindeer beside Santa's sleigh,

Getting hitched up- to be on their way.

The first one said, "We can't be late,"

The second one said, "Christmas won't wait."

The third one said, 'The sleigh's full of toys....."

The fourth one said, "For all the girls and boys."

The fifth one said, '"I'm ready to fly...."

The sixth one said, "Across the evening sky."

The seventh one said, "Look, it's starting to snow."

The eighth one said, "I think it's time to go."

Ready?" asked Santa. It's almost Christmas Day."

And off they all flew - - up, up, and away!

Elves in Santa's Workshop

Five busy elves at work in Santa's shop.
(Hold up 5 fingers.)

Hammer, hammer, hammer without a stop.
(Make fists with both hands and pound right on left.)

One little elf grew so very tired,
(Hold up one finger, yawn, and stretch.)

Hammer, hammer, hammer--he closed his eyes.
(Make hammering motion very slowly and close eyes.)

Wake up! It's Christmas!
(Open eyes.)

Is Santa Shy?

Isn't it the strangest thing,
that Santa is so shy?
(hide your face with your hands)

We can never, never catch him,
no matter how we try.
(make your fingers run)

It isn't any use to watch,
(hold hand to eyes and look)

Because my parents said,
"Santa Claus will only come
When children are in bed!"
(shake your finger)

Santa Pops Out!

Here is the chimney
(make a fist and enclose your thumb)

Here is the top
(place your other palm on top of your fist)

Open the lid
(remove your top hand)

and out Santa will pop!
(pop up your thumb)

Little Jack Horner

Little Jack Horner

Sat in a corner,

Eating his Christmas pie;

He put in his thumb,

And pulled out a plum,

And said, "What a good boy am I!"
