Quilts Galore!

(Count off on fingers as rhyme indicates)

Five colorful quilts with patches galore,

One covered (Child's name) and then there were four.

Four colorful quilts pretty as can be,

One covered (Child's Name) and then there were three

Three colorful quilts with patches red and blue,

One covered (Child's name) and then there were two.

Two colorful quilts made just for fun,

One covered (Child's Name) and there was one.

One colorful quilt left out in the sun,

It covered (Child's Name) and then there were none.

My Igloo

My igloo is round with a tiny low door
(make circle with hands and hold close to ground)

It's made of cold ice and snow
(pretend to shiver)

The inside is covered with blankets and fur
(spread hands over large area)

So it's warm when the winter winds blow.

Going to Bed

This little child is going to bed
(point to self)

Down on the pillow he lays his head
(rest head on hands)

He wraps himself in a blanket tight
(hug yourself)

And this is the way he sleeps all night
Zzzzzzz...ZZZZZZZZz
