I'm Sleepy, Very Sleepy
I'm Sleepy, Very Sleepy
I want to stretch and yawn
I'll close my eyes and just pretend
that daylight time has gone
I'll breathe so softly, be so still
A little mouse might creep
across the floor, because he thought
that i was fast asleep
(suit actions to words)

Two Puppies
Two little puppy dogs
(hold up two fingers)
Lying fast asleep,
(place head on hands)
Soft and wooly,
All in a heap,
Along came a little kitten
(tip-toe)
Creeping near, "Meow",
She cried right in their ear,
(cover ears)
Two little puppy dogs
(hold up two fingers)
After one cat,
(Did you ever play tag like that?)
(hold up two fingers)
Lying fast asleep,
(place head on hands)
Soft and wooly,
All in a heap,
Along came a little kitten
(tip-toe)
Creeping near, "Meow",
She cried right in their ear,
(cover ears)

I am the Sun
I am the Sun
(arms circle over head)
Shining hot and bright,
When I go sleep
(rest hands on head)
Day turns to night.
When I wake up,
(stretch and yawn)
I stretch and yawn,
(stretch and yawn),
And turn the darkness
(circle arms)
into Dawn.

Little Plant
In the heart of a seed
buried down so deep
(make a fist)
A little plant
lay fast asleep
Awake said the sun
(make large circle over head wth arms)
Come up through the earth
Awake said the rain
(flutter fingertips down)
We're giving you birth
The little plant heard
(open hand, turn fingers upward, raise arm slowly)
with a happy sigh,
and pointed its petals
up to the sky.

If I were a Bird
If I were a Bird, I'd sing a song
And fly about the whole day long
(cross thumbs and flap hands like wings)
And when the night comes, go to rest,
Way up high in my cozy nest.
(cup hands together to form nest)
And fly about the whole day long

Baby's Nap
This is a baby ready for a nap.
(hold up index finger)
Lay him down in his mother's lap
(place index finger on open palm of other hand)
Cover him up so he won't peep
(wrap fingers around index finger)
Rock him 'till he's fast asleep
(rock hands back and forth)

Going to Bed
This little child is going to bed
(point to self)
Down on the pillow he lays his head
(rest head on hands)
He wraps himself in a blanket tight
(hug yourself)
And this is the way he sleeps all night
Zzzzzzz...ZZZZZZZZz

All Around the Barnyard
(Rest cheek on folded hands)
All around the barnyard
The animals are fast asleep.
Sleeping cows and horses,
Sleeping pigs and sheep.
Here comes the cocky rooster
To sound his daily alarm.
"Cock-a-doodle-doo!
Wake up sleepy farm!"
(Flap arms at sides and crow.)

Way Up in the Sky
Way up in the sky

With a wing on the left
('flap' left arm then bring it behind)

All through the night
(same sleeping action)
Shhh!
(whispered)
They're SLEEPING!
(shout!)
The bright sun comes up
(throw hands up)
The dew falls away
(wiggle fingers like rain)
Good morning! Good morning!
(throw hands up at each Good

the little birds say.

Wee Willie Winkie
Wee Willie Winkie
Runs through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs
In his nightgown.
Rapping at the windows,
Crying through the lock,
"Are the children all in bed?
For it's now eight o'clock.
Runs through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs
In his nightgown.
Rapping at the windows,
Crying through the lock,
"Are the children all in bed?

To Bed, To Bed
To bed, to bed,
Says Sleepy-head.
Tarry a while, says Slow.
Put on the pan,
Says greedy Nan,
We'll sup before we go.

Brave Fireman
This brave fireman is going to bed
(hold up right thumb)
Down on the pillow he lays his head
(put right thumb on open left palm)
Wraps himself in his blanket tight
(curl fingers around thumb)
And plans to sleep this way all night
(close eyes)
But the fire alarm rings! He opens his eyes!
(open eyes)
Quickly he's dressed and down the pole he slides
(right hand slides down left arm in a grip from elbow to wrist )
Then he climbs on the truck to go, go, go.
(hands steer imaginary steering wheel )
Ten in Bed
Ten in Bed
There were ten in bed
(hold up two hands, fingers extended, palms facing out)
And the little one said,
Roll over, Roll Over!
(wiggle one of the little fingers)
So they all rolled over
And One fell out
(make hands into fists and roll them)
There were nine in bed
(hold up two hands, 9 fingers extended, palms facing out)
Continue until...
There was one in bed,
and the little one said
Good Night!
