Bubble said the Kettle

Bubble said the kettle,

Bubble said the pot,

bubble bubble bubble bubble,

We are getting hot,

Shall I take you off the fire,

No, you need not trouble,

This is just the way we talk,

Bubble bubble bubble!

Make Cookies

I am making cookie dough
Round and round the beaters go
(make round and round motion)

Add some flour from a cup
(pretend to pour)

Stir and stir the batter up
(pretend to stir)

Roll them, and cut them, nice and neat
(roll hands, pretend to cut)

Put them on a cookie sheet
(pretend to lay out cookies)

Bake them and count them 123
(count with fingers)

and serve them to your friends for tea!

Little Cricket

(Point to one finger at a time.)

The first little cricket played a violin.

The second little cricket joined right in.

The third little cricket made a crackly song.

The fourth little cricket helped him along.

The fifth little cricket cried, "Crick-crick-cree.

The orchestra is over and it's time for tea?

Chinese Fan

My ship sailed from China with a cargo of tea

All laden with presents for you and for me

They brought me a fan, just imagine my bliss

When I fan myself going like this, like this, like this, like this

(fan with hand)

Here's a Cup of Tea

Here's a cup, and here's a cup
(make circles with thumbs and index fingers on each hand and extend arms)

And here's a pot of tea.
(make fist with one hand, extend thumb for spout)

Pour a cup, and pour a cup
(tip fist to pour)

And have a drink with me.
(make drinking motions)

Little Teapot

I'm a little teapot, short and stout

This is my handle
(put one hand on hip)

This is my spout
(extend other arm out sideways)

When I get all steamed up, then I shout

Just tip me over and pour me out.
(bend body toward extended arm)

I'm a very clever pot, it is true

Here's an example of what I can do.

I can change my handle and change my spout
(switch position of arms and hands)

Just tip me over and pour me out.
(bend body in opposite direction)

Teatime

Here's a cup,
(Cup one hand.)

And here's a cup,
(Cup other hand.)

And here's a pot of tea.
(Hold hand up for teapot--three middle fingers bent over, the thumb stuck out for the spout and the little finger curled for the handle.)

Pour a cup
(Make pouring motion.)

And pour a cup
(Repeat motion.)

And have a drink with me.
(Make drinking motion.)
