Don't Bother Bees

Never bother with a bee,

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

He has got a stinger you see,

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Be he worker, be he drone

You had best leave the bee alone!

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Ants go Marching!

The ants go marching one by one.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching one by one.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching one by one;

The little one stops to suck his thumb,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching two by two.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching two by two.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching two by two;

The little one stops to tie his shoe,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching three by three.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching three by three.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching three by three;

The little one stops to ride a bee,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching four by four.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching four by four.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching four by four;

The little one stops to ask for more,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching five by five.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching five by five.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching five by five;

The little one stops to jump and dive,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching six by six.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching six by six.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching six by six;

The little one stops to pick up sticks,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching seven by seven.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching seven by seven.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching seven by seven;

The little one stops to write with a pen,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching eight by eight.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching eight by eight.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching eight by eight;

The little one stops to rollerskate,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching nine by nine.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching nine by nine.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching nine by nine;

The little one stops to drink and dine,

And they all go marching
down
into the ground
to get out
of the rain.

Boom, boom, boom!

The ants go marching ten by ten.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching ten by ten.

Hurrah! Hurrah!

The ants go marching ten by ten;

The little one stops to shout

"THE END!!"

Bug Song

To tune of: Wheels on the Bus

The firefly at night goes blink blink blink
Blink blink blink blink blink blink
The firefly at night goes blink blink blink
All around the town

Additional Verses:

The bees in the flowers go buzz buzz buzz....
The ants in the grass go march march march...

Two Little Ladybugs

One little ladybug
(hold up one finger)

With spots on its wings
Landed right beside me
(tap sides)

As I played on the swings
(sway forward and backward)

Two little Lady Bugs
(hold up two fingers)
Flew around a flower,
(move two fingers in a circle)

Then crawled beneath a leaf
(children cup one hand over two fingers)
To nap for half an hour.
(children lay their heads on their hands)

Ladybug

(Perform actions as described)

I saw a ladybug fly through the air,

But when I tried to catch her,

She wasn't there!

She was so pretty, red and black-

I waved goodbye as she flew back!

Ant Hill

Once I saw an ant hill with no ants about.
(hold out fist with fingers tucked in)

So I said, "Dear little ants, won't you come out?"

Then, as if the little ants had heard my call,

One, two, three, four, five come out?
(as numbers are called, fingers are extended)

And that was all!

Little Cricket

(Point to one finger at a time.)

The first little cricket played a violin.

The second little cricket joined right in.

The third little cricket made a crackly song.

The fourth little cricket helped him along.

The fifth little cricket cried, "Crick-crick-cree.

The orchestra is over and it's time for tea?

Eensy, weensy spider

Eensy, weensy spider
(climb opposite thumbs and index fingers upwards)

Climbed up the water spout

Down came the rain
(sweep arms down and out)

And washed the spider out.

Out came the sun
(form circle over head with arms)

And dried up all the rain.

So the eensy, weensy spider
(climb opposite thumbs and index fingers upwards)

Climbed up the spout again.

Grasshopper

There was a little grasshopper
(hold hand move index and middle finger together)

Who was always on the jump
(hop fingers forward)

And because he never looked ahead,

He always got a bump.

Butterfly

(Hook thumbs together and flutter hands and fingers)

Flutter, flutter butterfly

Floating in the springtime sky

Floating by for all to see

Floating by so merrily

Flutter, flutter, butterfly

Floating in the springtime sky!
