Touch your Fingers to Your Toes

Tune: London Bridge

(perform actions)

Touch your fingers to your toes

To your toes, to your toes

Touch your fingers to your toes

1-2-3-4-5

Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes

Head and shoulders, knees and toes
(touch each part of the body as you name it)

Knees, toes, knees and toes

Head and shoulders, knees and toes

Eyes, and ears and mouth and nose

Mouth and nose, mouth and nose

Eyes and ears and mouth and nose

I can...

I can nod yes, I can shake no,

I can bend down very low.

I can smile nice and big,

I can blow a kiss,

I can sit down all the way,

Just like this!
(perform actions indicated by rhyme)

Your Fingers

(do the motions indicated by the rhyme)

Put your fingers in the air, in the air,

Put your fingers in the air, in the air,

Put your fingers in the air, but don’t put them on your hair

Put your fingers in the air, in the air.

Put your fingers on your nose, on your nose,

Put your fingers on your nose, on your nose,

Put your fingers on your nose, but don’t put them on your toes

Put your fingers on your nose, on your nose.

Put your fingers on your belly, on your belly,

Put your fingers on your belly, on your belly,

Put your fingers on your belly, and make it shake like jelly

Put your fingers on your belly, on your belly.

Put your fingers on your knees, on your knees,

Put your fingers on your knees, on your knees,

Put your fingers on your knees, and give a great big squeeze,

Put your fingers on your knees, on your knees.

Do Your Ears Hang Low?

Do your ears hang low
(tug at earlobes)

Do they wobble to and fro?
(wave hands back in forth)

Can you tie them in a knot?
(tie an invisible knot)

Can you tie them in a bow?
(tie an invisible bow)

Can you throw them over your shoulder
(toss something over your shoulder)

Like a continental soldier
(salute)

Do your ears hang low? (tug at earlobes)

Two Things Make a Pair

Two things make a pair.
(Hold up two fingers.)

And on me, I'll show you where.
(Point to self.)

I have two ears, and I have two eyes.
(Point to your ears and eyes.)

Both are important to make me wise!

I have two holes in my nose.
(Point to your nose.)

That lets me smell a beautiful rose.
(Pretend to smell a rose.)

I have two hands that clap a beat.
(Clap hands to words.)

I have two feet that are really neat!
(Jump when saying the word neat!)

Touch your Nose

Touch your nose,

Touch your chin

That's the way this game begins

Touch your eyes

Touch your knees

Now pretend you are going to sneeze

Touch your hair

Touch one ear

Touch your two red lips right here

Touch your elbows where they bend

That's the way this touch game ends.

Let Your Hands Clap

Let your hands clap, clap, clap
(clap hands three times)

Let your fingers tap, tap, tap
(tap fingers three times)

Fold your arms and quiet be.
(fold arms)

Roll your hands so wide awake
(roll hands)

Let your fingers shake, shake, shake
(shake fingers)

Climb the ladder, do not fall
(open hands, palms down, step one over the other high above head)

Till we reach the steeple tall.

Fold your hands and quiet be.
(fold hands)

Hands on Shoulders

Hands on Shoulders
(follow the action in the rhyme)

Hands on shoulders, hands on knees,

Hands behind you, if you please

Touch your shoulders, now your nose

Now your hair and now your toes

Hands up high in the air,

Down at your sides and touch your hair

Hands up high as before,

Now clap your hands, one, two, three, four.

My Hands

My Hands
(follow the action in the rhyme)

My hands upon my head I place

On my shoulders, on my face

On my hips I place them so

Now I raise them up so high

Make my fingers fairly fly

Now I clap them, one, two, three

Then I fold them silently

Five Fingers

Five  Fingers

Five fingers on this hand
(hold up one hand)

Five fingers on that
(hold up other hand)

A dear little nose
(point to nose)

A mouth like a rose
(point to mouth)

Two cheeks so tiny and fat
(point to each cheek)

Two eyes, two ears
(point to each)

And ten little toes
(point to toes)

That's the way the baby grows

Right Hand, Left Hand

Right Hand, Left Hand
(follow the action in the rhyme)

This is my right hand

I'll raise it up high

This is my left hand

I'll touch the sky

Right hand, left hand,

Roll them around

Left hand, right hand,

Pound, Pound, Pound.

Mister Thumb

Mister Thumb
(make two fists)

Mister Thumb, Mister Thumb, where are you?
Here I am, here I am. How do you do?
(extend two thumbs and wiggle)

Peter Pointer, Peter Pointer, where are you?
Here I am, here I am. How do you do?
(extend pointer fingers and wiggle)

Ruby Ring, Ruby ring, where are you?
Here I am , here I am. How do you do?
(extend ring fingers and wiggle)

Baby Small, Baby Small, where are you?
Here I am, here I am. How do you do?
(extend pinky fingers and wiggle)

Fingers all, fingers all, where are you?
Here we are, here we are. How do you do?
(extend all fingers and wiggle)

Thumbkin, Pointer...

Thumbkin, Pointer...
(point at each finger and roll hands at the end)

Thumbkin, Pointer, Middleman Big,

Silly, Man, Wee Man, rig-a-jig

Tommy Thumb

Tommy Thumb
(point to each finger)

This is Tommy Thumb,
Round and smooth as any plum

This is busy Peter Pointer
Surely he's a double jointer

This is mighty Toby Tall
He's the biggest one of all

This is dainty Reuben Ring
He's too fine for anything

And this little wee one maybe,
Is the pretty Finger Baby!

Busy Fingers

Busy Fingers
(follow the action of the rhyme)

This is the way my fingers stand, fingers stand, fingers stand,

This is the way my fingers stand, so early in the morning.

This is the way they dance about, dance about, dance about

This is the way they dance about, so early in the morning.

This is the way I fold my hands, fold my hands, fold my hands

This is the way I fold my hands, so early in the morning.

This is the way they go to rest, go to rest, go to rest

This is the way they go to rest, so early in the morning.
(cup hands in your lap)

On My Head

(perform actions)

On my head my hands I place

On my shoulders, on my face

On my hips and at my side

Then behind me they will hide

I will hold them up so high

Quickly make my fingers fly

Hold them out in front of me

Swiftly clap them 1-2-3

Two Little Eyes

(Point to each part)

Two little eyes to look around

Two little ears to hear each sound

One little nose to smell what's sweet

One little mouth that likes to eat

I'll Touch my Hair

I'll touch my hair, my lips, my eyes.
(TOUCH HAIR, LIPS, AND EYES)

I'll sit up straight and then I'll rise.
[SIT UP STRAIGHT, THEN STAND]

I'll touch my ears, my nose, my chin.
[TOUCH EARS, NOSE, CHIN]

And then I'll sit back down again.
[SIT DOWN]
