Hands go up and hands go down,

I can turn round and round,

I can listen,
(point to your ear)

And so can you,
(point to kids)

I can sit,

I'll show you how,
(take a seat)

Two Little Friends

Two little friends are better than one,
(hold up fingers on right hand, one on left)

And three are better than two
(three on left, and two on right)

And four are much better still.
(four on right hand)

Just think!

What four little friends can do!

Busy Hands

(perform actions indicated)

Hands on shoulders, hands on knees

Put them behind you if you please

Raise them up high in the air

Down at your sides, now touch your hair

Hands at the side now you may place

Touch your elbows, now your face

Raise hands high up as before

Now you may clap 1,2,3,4

Now sit down, hands folded once more

Eyes to the front, feet on the floor

I Have a Nose

On my face, I have a nose
(touch nose)

And way down here I have ten toes
(touch toes)

I have two eyes that I can blink
(point to eyes)

I have a head to help me think
(point to head)

I have a chin and very near
(point to chin)

I have two ears so I can hear
(point to ears)

Here are my arms to hold up high
(raise arms)

And here is my hand to wave good-bye
(wave)

Roll your Hands

Roll your hands so slowly,
(roll hands)
As slowly as can be.

Then fold them just like me.

How are you today sir? (bend one thumb as if talking to the other)

Very well I thank you. (bend other thumb as if talking back)

Run away. (put first thumb behind back)

Run away. (Put other thumb behind back)


Repeat with: Pointer, Tall Man, Ring Man, Small Man.

(fold arms and rock them)

Father's a nobleman, and Mother's a Queen

And Betty's a Lady and wears a gold ring
(make ring with thumb and index finger, slide over ring finger of other hand)

And Johnnie's a Drummer who drums for the king.

Catching a Fish

(count fingers on left hand)

I caught a little fish alive
(catch fingers on right hand with left hand)

Why did you let it go?
(release fingers quickly)

Because it bit my fingers so.
(shake right hand)

Which finger did it bite?

The little finger on the right.
(point to little finger on right hand)

(follow the action in the rhyme)
