Five Little Chickadees sitting on the floor
(hold up hand and five fingers extended)

One flew away and then there were four
(fold down a finger when each bird flies away)

Four little chickadees sitting in a tree
One flew away and then there were three

Three little chickadees looking at you
 One flew away and then there were two

Two little chickadees sitting in the sun
One flew away and then there were one

One little chickadee sitting all alone
He flew away and then there was none.

Catching a Fish

One, Two, Three, four, Five
(count fingers on left hand)

I caught a little fish alive
(catch fingers on right hand with left hand)

Why did you let it go?
(release fingers quickly)

Because it bit my fingers so.
(shake right hand)

Which finger did it bite?

The little finger on the right.
(point to little finger on right hand)

Little Ball, Bigger Ball

A little ball

(clasp hands)


A bigger ball

(hands apart)


A great big ball I see

(big arc)


Now let's count the balls

(clasp hands)

Here is the Beehive

Here is the beehive. Where are the bees? 
(make a fist and hide the thumb in the fist)

Hidden away where nobody sees. 
(point to the fist)

Watch and you'll see them come out of the hive. 
(look into the hive)

One, two, three, four, five. 
(hold up fingers as count to five)

Bzzzzzzzz . . . all fly away! 
(wave your hand all around)

1-2-3-4-5, I caught a fish alive
(clap 5 times and hug)

6-7-8-9-10
(clap 5 times)

I let him go again
