Animal Fair

I went to the animal fair,

The birds and the beasts were there,

The big baboon by the light of the moon,

Was combing his auburn hair.

The monkey smelled a skunk,

And fell on the elephant's trunk,

The elephant sneezed,

And fell on his knees,

And he's lucky he missed the monk.

100 Animals

I went to the zoo
And what did I see?
100 animals
Looking at me.
There were,
10 tall giraffes, eating from the trees.
10 silly monkeys, scratching on their knees.
10 sleeping snakes, lying in the sun.
10 munching elephants, eating peanuts one by one.
10 leaping tigers, performing in the shows,
10 pink flamingos, standing on their toes.
10 grouchy bears, trying to get some sleep.
10 happy hippos, in the water deep.
10 roaring lions, walking two by two.
10 galloping zebras, all living in the zoo

Jungle Animals

This is the way the elephant goes
(clasp hands together , extend arms, move back and forth)

With a curly trunk instead of a nose

The rhino all hairy and fat

Has a sharp horn in place of a hat

The hippo with his mouth so wide-

Let's see what's inside
(hands together and open wide and close them)

The wiggly snake upon the ground

Crawls along without a sound
(weave hands back and forth)

But monkey see monkey do

is the funniest animal I ever knew!
(place thumbs in ears and wiggle fingers)

Going to the Zoo

To the tune of: Skip to my Lou

Come along children, we're going to the zoo,
Come along children, we're going to the zoo,
Come along children, we're going to the zoo,
Going to the zoo today.

See the animals living in the zoo,
See the animals living in the zoo,
See the animals living in the zoo,
Living in the zoo today.

I see a monkey sitting in a tree,
I see a monkey sitting in a tree,
I see a monkey sitting in a tree
I see a monkey and it sees me.

I see an elephant, big and gray,
I see an elephant, big and gray,
I see an elephant, big and gray.
Big gray elephant is eating hay.

I see a lion in a cage,
I see a lion in a cage,
I see a lion in a cage.
I see a lion that roars with rage.

I see a camel with a great big hump,
I see a camel with a great big hump,
I see a camel with a great big hump.
When he walks he goes "bump, bump."

I see a zebra, black and white,
I see a zebra, black and white,
I see a zebra, black and white.
Seeing the zebra is a sight.

I see a giraffe, big and tall,
I see a giraffe, big and tall,
I see a giraffe, big and tall.
He's not hard to see at all.

We saw the animals living in the zoo,
We saw the animals living in the zoo,
We saw the animals living in the zoo.
Living in the zoo today.

Four, four: hear the lions roar.
Five, five: watch the seals dive.
Six, six: there's a monkey doing tricks.
Seven, seven: count the elephants - eleven.
Eight, eight: a tiger and his mate.
Nine, nine: penguins in a line.
Ten, ten: I want to come again!

Five Circus Elephants

Five circus elephants waiting near the door.
One jumps through a hoop.
And now there are four.
Four circus elephants looking up to see.
One walks around the ring,
And now there are three.
Three circus elephants waiting for their cue.
One dances to a song.
And now there are two.
Two circus elephants looking for some fun.
One bounced a yellow ball,
And now there is one.
One circus elephant standing all alone.
He waved his trunk to say goodbye,
And slowly walked on home.

Five Hungry Elephants

Five hungry elephants
Sitting on a yellow fence
Eating the most delicious hay.
One stepped out on the lawn
Where she stayed all day long.
Now there are four more elephants!

Repeat with 4, 3, 2, 1, until there are no more elephants.

One Elephant in the Bathtub

One elephant in the bathtub,
Going for a swim,
Knock-knock (clap twice), splash-splash (slap knees twice),
Come on in!
Two elephants in the bathtub,
Going for a swim,
Knock-knock (clap twice), splash-splash (slap knees twice),
Come on in!
Three elephants in the bathtub,
Going for a swim,
Knock-knock (clap twice), splash-splash (slap knees twice),
Come on in!
Four elephants in the bathtub,
Going for a swim,
Knock-knock (clap twice), splash-splash (slap knees twice),
Come on in!
Five elephants in the bathtub,
Going for a swim,
Knock-knock (clap twice), splash-splash (slap knees twice),
And they all FELL IN!

Eleanor Elephant

Eleanor Elephant happened to sneeze,
And all of a sudden, she fell to her knees!
It's hard to get up when you're built like a truck,
But Eleanor did it with ease.
(Imitate sneezing, falling, etc.)

Jumbo the Elephant

Jumbo has a great big trunk
That goes swinging to and fro.
(Clasp hands to make trunk swing. )

And he has tiny, tiny eyes
That show him where to go.
(Put hands to eyes.)

His great big ears go flopping
(Put hands to ears.)

While his great big feet go stomping, stomping, stomping on the ground
(Stomp feet on the ground. )

Elephant

The elephant walks
Like this and like that
(Get down on all fours and walk back and forth.)

He's very tall,
(Stand and stretch arms up)

And he's very fat.
(Stretch arms out to sides.)

He has no fingers,
(Hold hands up, making fists to hide fingers.)

But he does have toes,
(Reach down and touch toes.)

And, goodness gracious,
What a nose!

(Grab nose between fingers and thumb of left hand; insert right arm through loop to form elephant's trunk.)
