Here is a Cave

Here is a cave.
(Bend fingers on one hand.)
Inside is a bear.
(Put thumb inside fingers.)
Now he comes out
To get some fresh air.
(Pop out thumb.)

He stays out all summer
In sunshine and heat.
He hunts in the forest
For berries to eat.
(Move thumb in a circle.)

When snow starts to fall,
He hurries inside
His warm little cave
And there he will hide.
(Put thumb inside fingers.)

Snow covers the cave
Like a fluffy white rug.
Inside the bear sleeps
All cozy and snug.
(Place one hand over the other.)

100 Animals

I went to the zoo

And what did I see?

100 animals

Looking at me.

There were,

10 tall giraffes, eating from the trees.

10 silly monkeys, scratching on their knees.

10 sleeping snakes, lying in the sun.

10 munching elephants, eating peanuts one by one.

10 leaping tigers, performing in the shows,

10 pink flamingos, standing on their toes.

10 grouchy bears, trying to get some sleep.

10 happy hippos, in the water deep.

10 roaring lions, walking two by two.

10 galloping zebras, all living in the zoo

Hibernating Bear

Here is a Cave.
(bend fingers to form cave)

Inside is a bear.
(put thumb inside fingers)

Now he comes out.

This Little Bear likes bacon and honey
(little finger)

But he can't buy them, he has no money!

Bear Family

Big mama brown bear
Knows just when
To make her winter home
in a warm cozy den.

She sleeps on some leaves
while it's cold outside
but before spring arrives
her cubs are born inside.

When the cold winter ends,
and it's a warm spring day, mama bear looks for food
while the little cubs play.

5 Little Bears

5 little bears were dancing on the floor,

One fell down and that left 4

Four little bears climbed up a tree,

One found a bee hive that left 3.

Three little bears were wondering what to do,

One chased a bunny rabbit that left 2.

Two little bears were looking for some fun,

One took a swim that left 1.

One little bear sitting all alone,

He looked all around then ran home.

Bears Eat Honey

A bear eats honey
(pretend to eat)

He thinks it's yummy

In his tummy
(rub tummy)

But the bees don't think it's funny!
