Old Wise Owl

Wise old owl wakes up at night,

Fluffs his feathers out just right

Moonlight shines and makes him blink

Breezes blow and make him think

What a lucky owl am I.

I can spread my wings and fly!

Run mice run!

Two little mice went out to play,
(hold up two fingers)

One saw an owl and it gave him fright
(look scared)

He said, it's not safe to play at night.
(shake head)

Run away! Run away! Run away!
(hand behind back)

(hold up 3 fingers, and place hands around mouth)

(flap arms)

Two grey owls saw a mouse on the run
(hold up 2 fingers, make fingers run up arm)

One flew away and then there was one.
(flap arms)

One grey owl gave a yawn
(hold up one finger and yawn)

Closed his eyes and napped until dawn.
(rest face on hands like sleeping)

Who's that knocking at the door?

Who's that wiggling at the latch?

Can a pig be at my door?

Can a cow be wiggling my latch?
No, cows can't scratch.
