Airplanes Fly in the Sky

Airplanes fly in the sky, zoom zoom!

Round and round the airplanes go 
(arm circles around)
 
Flying high, flying low
 (arm circles up high, then down low)
 
Shhh... I think I hear one 
(finger to lips, then cup ear)
 
ZOOM!
(zoom arm from one side to the other)

Here is a House

Here is a house built up high
(stretch arms up and touch fingers like a roof)

With two tall chimmeys reaching the sky
(strech arms up separately)

Here are the windows
(make square shape with your hands)

Here is the door
(knock)

If we peep inside
We see a mouse on the floor
(move fingers like a running mouse)

Fluffy Cloud

What is fluffy white and floats up high,
(point up at the sky)

Like a pile of cotton in the sky?

And when the wind blows hard and strong,
(wiggle hands side to side)

What very gently floats along?
(wiggle fingers and hands gently back and forth)

What brings the rain?
(Open palms up)

What brings the snow
that showers on us way down below?

When you look up in the sky,
(look up)

What is that thing you see floating by?
(a Cloud)

April Clouds

Two little clouds one April Day
(make two fists)

went sailing across the sky
(move fists side to side)

They went so fast, they bumped their heads
(bump fists together)

And both began to cry.
(rub eyes with hands)

Out came the big round sun who said
(make huge circle over head with arms)

Never mind my little dears,

I'll send sunbeams down
(wiggle fingers on both hands downward)
to dry your fallen tears.

Little Plant

In the heart of a seed
buried down so deep
(make a fist)

A little plant
lay fast asleep
Awake said the sun
(make large circle over head wth arms)
Come up through the earth

Awake said the rain
(flutter fingertips down)
We're giving you birth

The little plant heard
(open hand, turn fingers upward, raise arm slowly)
with a happy sigh,
and pointed its petals
up to the sky.

Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves are floating down,
(float arms and hands up and down)

They make a carpet on the ground

Then swish, the wind comes whistling by,
(move arms to the side quickly)

And sends them dancing to the sky.

Spaceship in the Sky

In a spaceship, in the sky
(hold arms over head forming circle like the moon)

Spacey little conehead guy
(make conehead shape with hands on top of head)

Saw an astronaut floating by
(Place arms and legs outwards and stand on one foot)

Knocking at my door
(knock in the air)

Help me, help me, help me! he said

Or the laser beam will shoot me dead!
(pretend to be stunned)

Come little astronaut, come with me
(beckon with hands)

Happy we will be.

Way Up in the Sky

Way up in the sky
(hands thrown up)

The little birds fly
(flap arms like wings)

While down in the nest
('nest' in crook of elbow - point)

The little birds rest
(rest head on hands - 'sleeping')

With a wing on the left
('flap' left arm then bring it behind)

And a wing on the right
(same on right)

The little birds sleep
All through the night
(same sleeping action)

Shhh!
(whispered)

They're SLEEPING!
(shout!)

The bright sun comes up
(throw hands up)

The dew falls away
(wiggle fingers like rain)

Good morning! Good morning!
(throw hands up at each Good
morning')

the little birds say.

Butterfly

(Hook thumbs together and flutter hands and fingers)

Flutter, flutter butterfly

Floating in the springtime sky

Floating by for all to see

Floating by so merrily
