Spider in the Web

To tune of: Farmer in the Dell

The spider in the web,

The spider in the web

Spin, spin, oh watch him spin,

The spider in the web.

The spider eats a (add a bug name)

The spider eats a (add a bug name)

Spin, spin, oh watch him spin,

The spider in the web.

Ostrich

Here is the ostrich straight and tall,
(raise one arm for ostrich)

Nodding his head above us all,
(use your raised wrist to 'nod' like an ostrich head)

Here is the hedgehog prickly and small,
(hold hands together with fingers together)

Rolling himself into a ball,
(cup both hands into a ball)

Here is the spider scuttling around
(wriggle fingers like a spider)

Treading so lightly on the ground,
(let fingers crawl on arm or leg)

Here are the birds that fly so high,
(interlock both thumbs while rest of fingers spread out like a bird)

Spreading their wings across the sky,

Here are the children fast asleep,
(pretend to be asleep)

And in the night the owls do peep,
(ring eyes with fingers for owl eyes)

I'm Being Followed by a Big Brown Spider

And I don't like it very much
Oh no! He's up to my toe...
Oh gee! he's up to my knee...
Oh fiddle! he's up to my middle...
Oh heck! He's up to my neck...
Oh dread! he's up to my head...
GULP!

Four Little Spiders

Four little spiders, spinning all day. Hoping some flies would come their way.
"I caught one," the first one said. I think I'll now go home to bed.

Three little spiders, spinning all day. Hoping some flies would come their way.
"I caught one," the second one said. I think I'll now go home to bed.

Two little spiders, spinning all day. Hoping some flies would come their way.
"I caught one," the third one said. I think I'll now go home to bed.

One little spider, spinning all day. Hoping some flies would come his way.
"I caught on," the last one said, I think I'll now go home to bed.

Halloweeny Spider

The Halloweeny spider crawled in the witches house.
(creep fingers forward)

In came the witch, and swept the spider out!
(sweep dramatically with broom)

Out came the moon and she rode off on her broom,
(arms make the moon and then swoop with arms)

And the Halloweeny spider crawled in her house again.
(creep fingers forward)

There's a Spider on the Floor

There's a spider on the floor, on the floor,
There's a spider on the floor, on the floor.
Who could ask for anymore than a spider on the floor,
There's a spider on the floor, on the floor!

Oh, no! It's on my toe!
There's a spider on my toe, on my toe,
There's a spider on my toe, on my toe,
I think I better go I have a spider on my toe,
There's a spider on my toe, on my toe!

Oh, no! It's on my knee!
There's a spider on my knee...I think I better flee
There's a spider on my thigh...I think I'm going to cry
There's a spider on my hip...I think I'm going to flip
There's a spider on my stomach...he's just a big ole lummock
There's a spider on my neck...I feel like such a wreck
There's a spider on my face...oh what a big disgrace
There's a spider on my head...I'm filled with such dread
BUT, it jumped off!
There's a spider on the floor...

Spider, Spider

Spider hurrying,
(Run fingers back and forth.)

Spider scurrying,
See her silken thread.
(Stretch thread between fingers and thumb.)

Spider hurrying,
(Run fingers back and forth.)

Spider scurrying,
See her little web.
(Make spiral with fingers.)

Spider in the Web

To the Tune of : Farmer in the Dell

The spider in the web.
The spider in the web.
Spin, spin, oh, watch him spin,
The spider in the web.

The spider eats a _____. (any kind of bug)
The spider eats a _____.
Spin, spin, oh, watch him spin,
The spider in the web.

I'm a Little Spider

Tune: I'm a Little Teapot

I'm a little spider watch me spin
If you'll be my dinner
I'll let you come in
Then I'll spin a web to hold you tight
And gobble you up in one big bite!

I'm a Big Spider

I'm a big spider,
I spin, I spin.
I spin webs...
To catch ________ in!
(flies, bugs, bees etc.)

Eensy, weensy spider

Eensy, weensy spider
(climb opposite thumbs and index fingers upwards)

Climbed up the water spout

Down came the rain
(sweep arms down and out)

And washed the spider out.

Out came the sun
(form circle over head with arms)

And dried up all the rain.

So the eensy, weensy spider
(climb opposite thumbs and index fingers upwards)

Climbed up the spout again.
